One of the questions I get asked the most is how many pages can you print with a set of cartridge?

And the question is quite legitimate! Because you want to know whether or not it is worth it in your situation to invest in a printer in order to make your edible images.
I have put up some data here to give you an overview, but be aware that there are so many variables (the print quality used, the colors of the images, the coverage per page, etc.) in these calculations, that it remains an ESTIMATE!

So here are the printing estimates made with an Ink4cakes brand edible ink cartridge set. All popular Canon models (250-251, 270-271, 280-281) have an equivalent capacity of 11ml (colors and small black) and 22ml (large black).

The estimated number of pages is based on an average, but this figure can vary greatly depending on various factors (frequent use or not, need for frequent cleaning or not, if the prints are more often text or photos, print settings , the type of edible paper used, etc.).

Number of pages (approximate with basic settings)
PGI250 PGBK 300 p
CLI-251 BK 2350 p
CLI-251 C 405 p
CLI-251 M 390 p
CLI-251 Y 375 p

Our recommended print settings for beautiful, vibrant colors are:
Print quality: HIGH
Paper Type: MATT PHOTO PAPER

From experience, we print about 250 sheets before having to change a cartridge (because they will not all wear out at the same rate, depending on the prints we make and the colors used. Example: During the cake craze of Frozen, the Cyan (blue) cartridge ran out much faster than other colors.)

Hoping that these data will help you in your calculations! Do not hesitate to ask us questions!

Make sure to make a good impression ;)
